At this point I’ve watched so many “how to build pc” videos I’d consider myself a veteran pc builder without building one yet

Man, no matter how many build tutorials I watch, I’m still intimidated by cable management-

    Sam Hoey

I built pc couple months ago did it all and spent 2 days trying to do cable management, couldn’t do it had to bring it to a PC shop lol, don’t get a small case like I did and it should be alright although for me it was definitely the hardest part of the build

    Jason Cogburn

planning and take your time guys.. put some thought into it before you start… and have fun!

    Jason Cogburn

@Sreehari no way man – i love cable routing and managing all the cables – one of my fav parts of building. Takes practice but it seperates the real builders from tinkerers

    Unknown Zarby

Hell nah what really confuses me is installing all that drivers bs plus windows then graphics card drivers like that’s where I get completely lost and just lose interest in building a pc, I got the money I just don’t know what to do after putting everything together

Watched this almost a year ago. Built my first pc just yesterday without the video(test my memory). You explained it well enough that I remembered. Thank you

    tails9792

@mjmkkj Yes it does have to be all the way inserted until it securely clicks. Double check that where you’re putting the power is indeed the right place because you can jam the wrong pins into the wrong place. If you wanted a faster answer I would say go to the LTT forms.

Great tutorial! I like the systematical way you planned everything and put everything together, keeping the next steps in mind to avoid problems. It’s also nice to be informed about possible obstacles at every step. In my opinion this is a perfect tutorial which is focused on the most important things. Will definitely recommend this one to diy PC builders.

This video allowed me to help my niece build her gaming rig. Thank you for allowing me to “look like I knew what I was doing”.

I’ve put together a computer before but it was over a decade ago. I remember hating the tedious process of cable management so I was going to hire GeekSquad to come to my house to put it together for me. When I asked them if I need to provide the thermal paste, they didn’t know what thermal paste was and put me on hold for 10 minutes to figure out what I was trying to ask. it was at that point I cancelled the appointment and decided I would just do it myself. And now I’m here.

    ッDazeen

I would never trust anyone else to build my PC. They’ll probably waste time so you pay more, if they demand hourly wage and they’re probably not going to take extra care to make sure your parts won’t be damaged in the process.

    MrVidification

Geeksquad seem to be a subsidiary and general helpline for bestbuy tech, I doubt they give them much training aside from being able to handle warranties and returns for faulty goods. Their trustpilot rating seems to confirm it

My name is Tim

Hi Linus Tech Tips. Just wanted to say thank you guys. I built my very first PC today. I know its a 40 minute video, but taking it slowly, I still roughed out at around 4 hours. AND IT WORKS! I’m on my new gaming pc as I type this. Thank you =] 🙂 🙂

Thank you for the video tutorial, I watched this nearly 4 times and along while I built it. This replaced my gaming PC(pre-build) which I had for almost 10 years. Thank you =) .

    Unknown290

Yeah I remember watching this a few years ago when I built my first gaming pc, took the whole day to build lmao
