Many people say Minecraft Mondays revived Minecraft… But I think it’s also right to say… that Pewds carried a nostalgic fandom into passion again.
Watching someone who barely knew the basics in Minecraft… It was like a new fresh start for any veterans looking for a new, yet familiar feeling. And honestly?? It was so much fun!

Ah yes! The moment when Pewdiepie singlehandedly made the whole world come back to Minecraft, which was never really dead, but reached a new massive height.
Debatable if he did it single-handedly, but overstating his achievements sounds like something he would do, so okay.
as someone who had always played minecraft and payed a lot of attention to its 2nd come up, it was more like minecraft was getting more and more popular from those nostalgia memes and then pewdiepie hopped on and shot it into the stratus sphere
@yayayayayaya Minecraft always had some amount of regular players, but the biggest name on YouTube playing Minecraft made everyone on YouTube wanting to make Minecraft videos, which in turn made Minecraft more popular.
@Samko Hlo well I’d say the village and pillage update also helped too but probably mostly Pewds tbh
@Warcriminal Gaming A lot of other people were coming to the game too so I would say about half of everyone who came to minecraft at that time was because of him.
absolutely legendary. peak of pewds content, remains unparalleled to this day…i loved this era so much it actually hurts. he has no idea how much fun we all had watching this series, literally ran back to home everyday at the sheer thought of a new minecraft with pewds episode
