Someone should try with a steam deck🤔

Question is why is this better than a regular fan. Smaller footprint? Move air volune moved in the same volume of hardware? Quieter? Less power consumption?

Yes. It is a lot quieter due to no moving mechanical parts, can fit in smaller footprints, and should consume less power.

To me, the point of having a fanless device is that it has no moving parts, not that it doesn’t have a literal fan in it. This is a neat alternative but I wonder how it will handle dust etc over the long haul. At least with a fan you can vacuum/spray it with canned air to get all the crud off. That thing’s a sealed unit for a reason, even if they won’t tell you what the reason is.

I remember hearing about this when they were starting up. I think this product has legs and a lot of potential.
