Linus speaking Chinese has got to be one of the most funniest things I have ever heard 😂😂😂

    PrograError

As a Chinese, I have no idea what few words are.

    Brah, Trumpwon,bigly

Funnier than that Tiananmen Square incident.

    Don’t Matter

    @Brah, Trumpwon,bigly Bing Chilling

    amazin

    @Brah, Trumpwon,bigly cringe bro

froinky

Pretty cool how they incorporated the “flying comments” into the award. Still very clearly inspired by the old YT plaques tho. 😂

    Brandon

It still looks soo cool though

It kind of makes me want to learn Chinese and post videos to get one 😂

    D P

    The old ones look cooler.

Justin Comer

That actually is very cool especially because it looks more like the old style YouTube play buttons and the fact that it has comments in the background.

O U T A

Linus should do an ice cream machine review.

    Menko

    … in chinese!

    William That’s my name

    bin chillin

    Mark186

    Yes 😂

    Oliver _

Better yet a Chinese ice cream machine review in Chinese with John cena

    Tyler Furrison

he should put random stuff in a soft serve machine

Lukas Biehler

Linus speaking Chinese sounds exactly like that one time he spoke French in the VHS-Video; I’m a German and I’m always bowen away by how different a voice can sound in different Languages. Love you videos, your videos helped me to learn English so Thank you 😁

    Kelsey B

    Congrats dude!

    The Gadget Guru

Indeed also cool keep watching more YouTube videos and that might just do the trick Duolingo is also a good source as well

Evilleader

is he speaking mandarin or cantonese?

    Aeswere

    Probably Mandarin

    Linus Tech Tips

    Realistically, neither – LS

    Jerry Wong

@Linus Tech Tips actually one of the more accurate madarin I’ve heard a white guy spoke, at least at the start, it devolved as the video went on…

    jie he

@Linus Tech Tips As a Chinese person I can tell you some of the pronunciation was actually solid. Being already multilingual definitely helps when trying to speak new languages.

    Sword_Racer

@jerrywong9379 I think everyone has forgotten that his wife is asian

dyXur

The comments are honestly a nice touch and make the entire thing feel more like it’s a award for content creators.

    feha92

The comments are obviously vetted… but I am just imagining how hilarious it would be if they were randomly selected and the majority was just spam Bot-comments with a couple haters mixed in xD

    cursetheroad

Sure it’s vetted but it is somebody’s honest opinion about their videos.

    Will Wunsche

    @cursetheroad Yeah it’s really wholesome. It’s a sweet touch

    Will Wunsche

@DumKump Huh? Why would anyone say that? Sweet comments like that is cute

    Matasa

The bottom one is even “Cheers!” complete with cup.

Brutal 24

How does the clone look better than the legit one?

    TheBigAEC

Because Google sucked out all the charm and soul out of this platform.

    fredho pratama

@TheBigAEC And put it all on their AI Bard.

    TheBigAEC

@fredho pratama If they did that they wouldn’t be playing second fiddle to open ai.

    Cookie Crumbz

Nah the yt one looks better

    Slop King

I mean it’s still legitimate lol. bilibili is a huge website too.

John Preston

I live in China and I actually thought Bilibili was using these videos free of rights and just adding Chinese subs. Glad to see that I can also watch Linus without needing a VPN and that it’s official.

    Babbel

originally it was done by an unofficial group effectively pirating and subtitling the videos. but ltt found out about it and asked them if they want to work for the company and get paid for what they’re doing. linus mentioned that in one of his more recent viewer setup reviews iirc

    MikeT’s Bee’s

    Does bilibili pay?

    Isaiah Daniels

    Be careful. They’re watching.

    AngelFluffyOokami

@Isaiah Daniels damn, I hope they’re not able to find John Preston.
    snrk

    0Ne

@Babbel he mentioned it in reviewing chinese viewers setups if someone wants to hear it from -LS himself. He starts video with that story, chinese viewers couldn’t watch his content on yt and wanted to somehow. They cannot use gmail too obviously so mails were from all over the places.

SNip3D

Linus now to film/dub all videos in chinese

DonkeysAss569

Bro had to downsize from a 8k camera to an iphone 😢

    Bot

Matches the quality of the content. Lol

Caio D. Andrade

I’m chocked that Linus speak Chinese as good as John Cena

    Hitler Loves Anime

    *Zhong Xina: Binge Chilling

    China 💩

As good? Linus was understandable. John Xina wasn’t. His Chinese was bad. No tones at all.

Lorin Chak

As subpar as my response is (In written Cantonese): 你哋太好啦😊!希望你哋可以有多啲電腦影片㕸!

Congratulations on your Bilibili milestone. Wish you the best of luck and further success with your career and channels!

Reuben Zilla

Linus’s social credit just went up 100 points

Rick Heemskerk

Linus is the new John Cena

RyukaAmagiri

Why does Linus speaking Chinese sounds like him speaking French?

Imperial Knight

兴奋would be a better translation than 激动. 激动is closer to agitated than excitement

The Thing That Should Not Be

“Excitement would be a better translation than excitement. Excitement is closer to agitated than excitement
    (Translated by Google)”

This will never not be funny.

mfaizsyahmi.

Fun Fact: bilibili is named after the nickname for the main character in the Japanese anime and manga series, A Certain Scientific Railgun, Misaka Mikoto. She was nicknamed biribiri, the Japanese onomatopoeic expression for electrostatic, as she’s an electricity esper character.

The Chinese Internet was super into her character at the height of the series’s popularity. It still didn’t die down even after a few years, when Chinese eSports team Hangzhou Sparks was formed, which also directly references her character. They wanted to call themselves Railguns at first.

    Aazes

But doesnt Touma call her biribiri from a certain magical index? I mean it’s cool she’s called such and i love her.

    Ventilate

    extremely unexpected

Dreta

As a native Chinese speaker, the first words in “I’m very excited” are really accurate mandarin, but then it’s weird.

    China 💩

The way he said “very” is weird.
