Well now I want a long video that is just Mark repeatedly and aggressively asking nonsensical personal questions that don’t seem uncomfortable on paper, but when you’re actually asked them it just feels wrong and invasive to answer.
“YOU EVER TAKE A WALK ALONE ON THE SIDEWALK?”
“YOU EVER PICK BOTH NOSTRILS AT THE SAME TIME?”

Fun fact: That’s a real phone call someone made to Coast to Coast AM. It very well could be a hoax but a couple minutes after the call started the show was knocked off the air for about 40 mins, which is still super fucking weird. Art Bell is a legend, highly recommend to anyone interested in paranormal type stuff.
I had to look it up. That’s insane. They had to go to a backup system because there was a transmitting failure. Something completely knocked down their whole system in the middle of that person’s call
In case anyone was wondering Art Bell was a legitimate talk-show host on a paranormal themed radio show called Coast to Coast. He was the first to do paranormal radio shows and he was a great host for 15 years. Rip that legend🤍
For the record, Art Bell and that recording are in fact real. He did an overnight radio show on am about pretty much anything paranormal. I used to listen to “Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell” almost every night. That clip was from an on air live nightly show. Was the guy telling the truth or just a crackpot? Decide for yourself. Please don’t start a debate. I simply wanted to inform everyone that it’s a real clip from the same era the game takes place.

Weirdest thing for me to hear in an indie game, but hey, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised considering how much of a legend he was. A cool callback!
In case you guys didn’t know, the ending radio call is an actual thing that happened during the time period. The audio you heard is the real clip from Art Bell’s radio show. No one really knows if it was a hoax or not but it does sounds quite convincing!
Mark’s the only person who could be abducted by aliens and be so aggressive with his sass it would make the aliens uncomfortable. I just picture him on a dissection table shouting something like “what if i WANT you to probe me!?”
And that would be immediately followed up with him explaining how he’s not a masochist, he just wants to see what he can taaaaaaake.
The aliens try doing some skyline-type beat stuff on him and he resists it purely on ego alone.
As entertaining as Mark playing doing stuff is, I live for the parts where Lixian comes in.
I love how Mark can turn any game that he plays into a game where he harasses people.
Mark, I want you to know that when Space came out, me and one of my best friends put it on my living room TV, pulled the pull out bed from my couch out, laid on our stomachs with our faces like a foot from the screen and watched it for 8 hours, pausing and rewinding and looking at every minute detail.
Me: There’s no way I could have seen that on my phone screen.
Mark: All you people watching on your little phone screen never would have been able to see that!
Me: Wow, I feel called out.
Mark: Yeah, bet you never felt called out before!
What the hell
It’s a struggle living in poverty, but watching Markiplier on a phone is better than not watching any Markiplier
While game itself was just a spooky walking sim, the fact that it was based/tying in with that rather infamous call from Coast to Coast AM is actually really cool. It gives me the same vibes as that Chernobyl game Mark played a while back that was just about three dudes dealing with a very real life disaster
The whole story behind that one phonecall always gives me chills. Could definitely be a prank, but there are so many odd coincidences around it that it always leaves you wondering:)

No, no, Mark is obviously one of them. Those distortions you always see on his face aren’t a filter, it’s his true form trying to bleed through.
